Steven Seagal hired law firm Loeb & Loeb to represent him in April 2002, when he had to testify before a federal grand jury concerning the criminal trial involving his former business associate Julius Nasso. The lawsuit centered around attempted extortions, where Nasso was accused of the crime after their partnership was ended.
After everything was taken care of, Loeb & Loeb gave a bill of $1.1 million to the actor. When Seagal received the bill, he became suspicious of the amount charged him, and had a legal audit performed on the law firm's bill. The determination was he was "substantially overcharged."
In response, Seagal is trying to give the law firm his own "Exit Wounds," as he sued them, seeking $450,000 in damages from Loeb & Loeb.
The law firm maintains Seagal still owes them $575,400 in fees, in spite of being "Under Seige."
