Shilpa Shetty became known from the controversial appearance she had on the reality TV show Celebrity Big Brother. At the time her representative was Jasveer "Jazz" Barton. Evidently the professional relationship has been over since then.
Shetty, who is a Bollywood actress, is now suing Barton who has been going around making deals on her behalf without Shetty's permission. After Barton makes the unathorized deals, she than tries to collect money from Shetty afterwards.
Her publicist and spokesman Dale Bhagwagar says, ''We have put up a case at the City Civil Court, Mumbai, asking for an injunction against Barton's untrue claims and demands.
"Now that Shilpa is world famous, Barton has been trying to extract money from her. She has been sending her legal notices, seeking a cut from Shilpa's earnings."
Bhagwagar added that Shetty has no contract or agreement with Barton, and Shetty is going to court to protect herself against the illegal allegations.
Shetty was the actress who had the recent controversy in India over Richard Gere giving her a kiss publicly. Gere had an arrest warrant put out for him as a result. He later apologized for the incident.
