Elisha Cuthbert has signed on, along with Tim Allen, to star in the indie film "The Six Wives of Henry Lefay."
Directing the film will be Howard Gould, who scripted "Shrek the Third." Writing for this project was also done by Gould, who describes the film as nonlinear in structure. Gould also worked with Tim Allen writing for his popular "Home Improvement" show.
Cuthbert, who starred on "24" for several seasons, will play the daughter of Allen's character who was thought to have died. His wife and five ex-wives battle it out over his will.
Negotiating to play the various wives are S. Epatha Merkerson, Andie MacDowell, Kelli Garner and Paz Vega.
Producing the film, which begins shooting in September 2007, will be David McIlvain and Holly Wiersma.
