
Jimmy Stewart, who acted in over 80 movies, will be honored with a stamp by the U.S. Postal Service at ceremonies at the Jimmy Stewart Museum at his Indiana hometown, and also in HOllywood.
The stamp itself will feature a portrait based on Stewart from publicity photo he took for his role in the 1949 film "The Stratton Story."
Stewart won an Oscar in 1941 for "The Philadelphia Story" and is also remembered for "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
Stewart served as a pilot in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II, winning a number of decorations.
