I'll be praying as a man of God that God will watch over jaunita Bynum there's no excuse that a man should ever but his on his wife ever. He'll have to pay for putting his hands on a god's prophet. The bible clearly says that "touch not my anoited and do my prophet no harm. No excuses so don't make none.

This is a clear message to all that we must watch as well as pray the Devil is angry with the people of GOD and if any woman ever feels in danger she needs to leave ASAP. This is not a time to judge but to pray not only for jaunita but all those that are on the front lines of GOD kingdom. PRAYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

We as Christian not all but some have put God to and open shame.I don't care if we are Pastor's or Deacon's or what ever titile we are holding. We need to be sincere with God.Everythig is about money and wanting to look big.What happen to telling people that the wages of sin is death and the gift of God is eternal life.Which mean we are not going to haven any old kind of way.We act as tho God don't have any standards.It is a mess out here.But God do have some Pastor's that care about the souls of people and will tell them the truth. THAT NO SIN WILL ENTER INTO THE KINGDOM OF HAVEN.

In my opinion this situation is a personal tragedy in which there are no winners, and to which all in the Christian community should be grieved. On the one hand, it is true that there is no justifiable reason for violence against a spouse, and this should be condemned. On the other, it is also true that we who watch the media are not privy to the whole story that can only be known by Juanita Bynum, her husband, and God. Therefore, before we form any opinions based upon the limited information that we have received concerning Juanita Bynum and her husabnd, we should focus our attention in praying for Juanita Bynum's recovery, the psychological state of her husband, their church and their ministries (because God's people are involed and not just a public relations image), and their future decision that they are going to have to make about their marriage. In my opinion, someone needed to call a counselor, not the news media. Believe it or not, marriage is a private matter regardless of who you are.

These two are new to me as well...but what I want to know is Juanita Bynum - Thomas Weeks III - Christians? Which Bible Are They Reading?

If God be God then no man or woman displays such an unusal act against another. This is prime. And this is proof. Man has considered himself God. and considered too long this deceit. Any man who has been called by God would not and could not even consider such behavoir. Consider... What would Jesus do? Certainly not this or anthing likely.... I believe that the devil whom is our enemy considers all things. and we must be aware. Jesus preached the Kingdom is at hand, but he did not mean for it to translated this way. In this particular case any man or woman filled with the spirit of God, the spirit of love would have never continued such abuse. Jesue Rules. and I love it!

I've read all the comments and I totally agree with what one writer stated, this is a spiritual matter, not a matter for the press. The devil is very angry and will stop at nothing to cause people to lose sight of God. We indeed have to pray for Prophetess Bynum, but also for her husband. We must be careful not to be so quick to throw rocks or stones. If it weren't for the Lord's grace and mercy, where would any of us be? Someone asked a question, what would Jesus do? I ask again, what would Jesus do? Would he sit back and verbally tear down a man of God or would he intervene and seek ways to help make things better? Remember, the way you feel about Bishop Weeks today, you probably didn't feel that way about him a week ago. Let us not forget to pray for our brothers and sisters. Just some food for thought. Do as Jesus would do.

Man of God, Woman of God or whatever - We live in a reality of a sin infested world. Therefore, no matter who you are or what God has called you to do, you are NOT exempt from the things that the enemy throws at you. Weapons ARE formed and in this situation it would seem that a weapon prospered. Here are two human beings who have for whatever reason found it to be an overwhelming challenge to coexist. Just like the foolish choices in the Garden of Eden, there was a foolish choice made here. I can't imagine what would have driven him to do this, but just because he is a carrier of the Gospel, he is STILL FLESH. My point is, a lot of us are tripping over the "title" and the God connection. We have got to stop making gods out of the SERVANTS OF GOD.

I agree with some of the other writers , this is a personal matter. It is between Her , him , and God. We (as people ) are so quick to judge.It is not our responsibility to judge. He and his wife are normal people with titles ,that's all. Remember,no one is exempt from the enemy ,not even Jesus was. He was tempted while he was alone and fasting. So,let's ,as a christian community , not judge ,and pray.Pray for both of them.The enemy is on a warpath and Juanita or Bishop Weems, Michael Vick,Brittany Spears,The Pope.and no one else is exempt! Let's get ourselves geared up to pray everyday & every moment.

There is no reason or circumstance whereby a man should hit a woman. It takes a REAL MAN to walk away. He may be a Bishop but not a REAL MAN. Although he is human it is real sad for someone elevated to Bishop and still continuing to walk worldly. Sad, Sad, Sad.

Pulpit pimps in action. With "christians" who behave like this, no wonder people choose the world. Don't give me that crap about them being human and you can't look at people, they know their role, they need to play their part. these are supposed to be spokesman for God and they behave like street hoods. That man had no place to put his hand on anyone, ESPECIALLY his wife, Juanita - Don't go back, that is a deal breaker!

I am also sick of people calling them "God's anointed" and "men/women of God". we are ALL men and women of God, these clowns just got the publicity. They are self appointed and a bunch of idiots took the bait.

Read second Timothy everyone. We must walk in the spirit that we do not fulfill the lust of the flesh. These are people in the public eyes of thousands. I would say that those that do not believe you can be blameless for the world, don't you ever pick up a bible and minister to anyone. This walk is not for everyone, and we have to accept that. God desires that no man be lost, but we have to remember that our reputations is more than silver or gold. If you loose your name, you lost it all. I'm a firm believer, if God kept me while I was in the world, what more would he do if I'm his servant. It looks like shame is somebody's glory. Yes we should pray and uplift, but what season is it.....We don't let our family, friends, co workers, or even some pastors get away easily. It's sad she was beat, but we escaped these traps in the world, and I must say, I've been saved for 5 years, the path I use to take, walk, or run, is no where on the navagation system. That means the choice of man, clothes, speech, attitude, etc. We know a person by the fruit they bear. Try a spirit by the spirit. You have to be at a place in God where you can say, I don't care if it's me God, whatever your saying is the word. We don't want God to shut up heaven because we are using his word in unrighteousness. Look up righteousness, morals, values, Bishops, etc. Stop fighting with the word, and define the word. Take it back to basics if you have to, search out and see what it all means to God, and then impart. It's not about judging or forming an opinion, but as Saints we're to watch over the word, and it's to line up with the fruit of the spirit. We all make mistakes, but this surface talk is not profitable to the hearers. God is calling us to sound doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. May the saints seek him out of a pure heart. I don't want anyone lost....

I did not feel that good about it, but hoped them the best when Juanita mentioned their engagement. I did see a great outward change in Juanita once she got married. Hopefully thing will still work out for the best whatever that might be. Abuse is wrong regardless who it is, male or female. Beside what this couple protrays, My main concern is their manny folowers. I pray that their followers will not allow this incident to turn them away from God or who God is. Satan wants us to lose faith and hope in God because of what people do that represent Him. People fails, nevertheless God remain the same.

We as Christians must all pray for both individuals. Leave the final judging to the God of all Creation. We've all at some point acted out of character, even professing believers,although many would probably not be honest enough to admit it. Some peoples wrongs are visible while others are not nonetheless wrong is wrong no matter what forms its in-visible or nonvisible. There is room for repentance in all of us in some form or the other or there would be no reason for us to daily pray "forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. As believers this is a time for prayer not judging. As Galatians 6:1 states, "Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted." PRAY FOR THE WEEKS! not about them, against them, or on them!Remember your testing/temptation day will come and you may find yourself in the same perdicament. Don't judge the man/woman of God too harshly. PRAY FOR HEALING FOR BOTH OF THEM. Let God minister to them HIS own way and in HIS own time. Everyone should hold their tongue if they are not praying for them and I mean earnest prayer. Take into consideration the devil has no respect of persons, you can be, if you are not careful and think yourself above such, subjected to the same thing in this way or some other. We all must look to God and if we are 'strong' in the LORD be constant in prayer for believers everywhere with all prayer and with supplications. Believers are not perfect and deal with the same things every humans deals with. When we fall, we have "advocate with the FATHER, the LORD JESUS CHRIST who will forgive us as we repent and cleanse us and restore us to even greater dimensions in HIM for HE is a forgiving and gracious FATHER. There is restoration for all who make mistakes or commits acts against the Word of God as we repent. This is a tragedy but it is not unforgivable. God forgives us of our wrong so we must in turn forgive others of theirs. So let healing, repentance and restoration begin for this family on both sides. Let none of us make any snap judgments in this case. Let us all especially us who are believers PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! AND PRAY! unceasingly for our Brother and Sister Weeks. And for those who seek to snub their nose at Church because this incident, I say the Church is made of imperfect people striving with the help of God to reach complete perfection/completion in Christ. Don't condemn a Whole group of people because some "fall of God's glory" at times. We've all done it at some point. People who are anointed sometimes if not watchful unto prayer can fall but with repentance can be restored and their sins "cast in the sea of forgetfulness" where God is concerned. Let us not hold grudges. Let us release these two vessels of God into HIS hand for HIM to make them ultimatley who HE desires them to be inspite of this attack of the enemy(Satan), who only comes to steal, kill and destroy the people of the MOST HIGH GOD. Prayers, peace and unconditional love be to this family. Amen!

I am so sick of this judfgmental world. Who the hell do you people think you are. If everyone mind there own business and GET some business than you wont have time to be in mones it is a damn! Shame that all of this is nothing but a damn scandal and the church world aught to be ashamed of themselves period not just what has happent to Juanita and Weeks, but all the churches are out for publicity and money. Why are we as struggling human beings supporting these so called ministries, and giving all we have and neglecting our own families to give to these grown ass people and make them rich! I know of a so called Pastor named Theres Ann Dvis, Garrison, Brooks who has been married over and over some of her last names I have just mentioned who my parents gave there last for years neglecting us and we went with out lights and heat almost every winter and ate school food and suffered many years, ALL because they had to pay all the offerings every time they had church. I hate the so called church folk!!!! I rather die with the sinful world then to get on the band wagon with you SCAVENGERS! After all you church folks knows anymore than we do NO ONE was back in adam and Eve days and just on the strength the so called BIBLE that many men have wrote over and over tells me that you cant trust anyone it is all a cult and a gang! If the church knew so damn much where the hell did we really come from, how did we really get here from the beginning and why arent they addressing that, if they can so called speak in tongues then they should be able to reveal information that no man has never revealed or discover something that Science could not even discover, Miracles should be still happening not everyday life issues should be considered a Miracle Do some things that they claim happened back in JESUS days and all before Jesus. I'm truly sorry about what happen but God got it all in his hand.i love you me and my family will keep you in prayers,being in christ when one go though it we all do. but we stand together as one in christ this does not deter me from listing to you,when i see on tv i will stop and see what word god has giving you for us.i pray that God keeps you safe protected from hurt, harm, danger.by the strips of Jesus your heal.

It is very hard to believe that this happened but I guess living in the world that we live in its very easy to believe.

Pray for them 'cause it could have be me or you. This is not the time to judge, there is never a time for to us judge. God is the Judge. Leave the judgement to Him/GOD. If you want to help, love, comfort, bring healing to this or any situation, we must, immediately, forgive and see them as Christ sees them.

We all have done wrong and we must know that just as God continues to love and forgive us, he is willing and more than able to forgive and love all. We must release our hurts and dispointments by turning them over to God. Our sincere, heartfelt, genuine prayers changes things. Pray and watch God work!

God is married to the church. How many times have we messed up on Him? What wrongs have we done in THIS marriage?

Behold, if Almighty God's marriage (to us) is not perfect, then let it be known, there is no perfect marriage, anywhere. Let us forgive.

Certainly, this is not the first time he put his hands on her nor will it be the last. I wonder what the "secondary pay-off" here is for each of them. Other
wise known as "double-mindedness" in the Bible. What is their individual "environmental impact statement" be it spoken or not. I found it most interesting that Ms. Bynum is reported to have said " she wanted
to be her only wedding." A wedding does not a marriage make. Mr. Weak seems to be struggling with jealousy, contol, trophy wife (think charles/Diana debackle). Mr.Weaks is probably wanting to hang on to his royal dynasty as well. For those who spoke of two sides, need
to know that you keep your two hands two yourself. Juanita, This is the day the lord hath made, You rejoice
and don't be stuck on stupid in it.

Maybe if people would stop putting their FAITH in HUMANS and put it where it belongs...in GOD maybe they wouldn't get so disappointed. I get so tired listening to people worship these prophets, prophetess, bishops, ministers, etc. as if they are GOD themselves. This is the reason I stay away from churches. I don't need someone else tell me what I feel in my own heart.

Scripture says, in Proverbs 18:22,"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD."
The devil is always after our favor. I refuse to be the one to put my mouth on anyone that God has ordained. Whatever the reason, right or wrong, that this happened, I trust that God has his hand in it and is in control of this situation. Who knows how many people's situations can be delivered as a result of the testimony that Prophetess Bynum will have as a result of this valley in her life or even from Pastor Weeks as well. He did something very wrong and will, without a doubt, be responsible for the consequences. However, we don't know and will never know what he or she was going through at that moment. What I DO know is that God is always in control, yesterday, today and forevermore!!

I am so touched by the comments i have read by those that are saying that we are not to judge anyone. We must learn to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Many times the enemy uses our weaknesses in those moments that we are tempted. Anger is a bad thing if it is not kept under control. Be angry but sin not. Jesus told us to pray at all times. WHen I don't pray enough my flesh rises up but the mercy and faithfulness of God reminds me to pray and repent at all times. The Lord knows why all of this has happened. Saints of God - keep the main thing the main thing - our personal relationship with God first. Let us pray for all and not be quick to speak - but slow to listen. These are the last days!

I think people are getting the wrong understanding of other's comments about praying for both Weeks and Bynum. We are NOT excusing what he did in any way. Wrong is wrong and sin is sin. However, as leaders, your mess is more platformed than the average Joe Schmoe. We expect these same leaders to never mess up, to never sin and to basically be perfect in the eyes of man and when they're not, we feel let down and immediately want to shift blame and point fingers. I'm not treating this situation any differently than I would the neighbor down the street who beat up his wife. The devil is ALWAYS busy. It doesn't matter who you are, where you're from or what you do. NO ONE is exempt from sin. I will be praying for them BOTH, not just for Prophetess Bynum but also for Pastor Weeks, that God deal with his heart, his anger and his sin and allow this situation to be used for GOD'S glory, not for man's. The devil is after marriages in this day and age, especially marriages that have the possiblity of making major changes in the kingdom. Imagine the possiblities that a marriage of this magnitude could have brought about. In that same thought, imagine the impact that this problem have brought about. Do you NOT think that the devil had it out for them from the beginning?

Whatever is done in darkness will be exposed! The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, who can know it? None of us knows what's in our heart. God is the Only One who knows and will expose us to ourselves. In this instance, he has allowed exposure of the Weeks couple on the national/international level for His own purpose. Hopefully, we who are indeed his children will learn one of the most invaluable lessons from this renown spiritual couple. Look to God Only to sustain you for whatever the need!

Juanita Bynum first of all is a woman not just a minister. There is no excuse for her unsecured husband to be violent. Unfortunately Christian man are not thought how to be a MAN God desires for them to be. Violence always beget more violence I should now because myself came out of the abusive marrage.
Why are man so insecure and can't handle a mature woman? It seems that the only way they can win the agrument is fists.
Juanita is a wonderful person and many lives have been touched because of her ministry.
If people deside to live the Church based on what happened then it means they didn't know God but were following people instead.
Let just pray for the whole Body of Christ and for her as well.
I personally feel no pitty for her husband. He new what he was doing when he raised his fists.

We don't know the whole story that led Bishop Weeks to brutally beat his wife the way he did. There is no excuse for what he did and what ever happened in thier marriage should have caused him to beat his wife regardless of the situation. We have a lot of pastors that want you to do as they say and not as they do. I will not judge Bishop but I will say that after what he done to his wife a woman he's suppose to love and protect but yet she's got to be protected from him can't tell me anything I wonder how his flock feels about what happened or is it some that feels it's ok... It's never ok for no man to beat his wife, I will continue to pray for the both of them and pray that he will seek counseling for his actions. Being a minister you carry a lot on your shoulder and I know it's hard at times but that's when you need to prayer harder and the members need to also keep the pastor and his family in prayer because they are human too and they have problems too. To all that read this please remember bishop Weeks and his wife Minister Juanita Bynum in prayer and their families.

I am stunned and shocked because this wasn't suppose to happened. Part of me is furious at Bishop Weeks for beating his wife esp because of his fame, and the position he holds, but the other part of me says that shouldn't condemn him because it can happen to anyone
plus I myslef arent perfect.

Oh God please forgive us all, for we have sinned greatly against You even myself LORD God. Jesus, please help us all and save us for we need you more than anything.

WHO ARE WE(THE MEDIA, NON- CHRISTIANS, AND FELLOW CITIZENS OF THE KINGDOM) TO JUDGE! IT IS NOT OUR PLACE TO POINT FINGERS AND SAY THAT THIS IS WRONG OR THAT IS WRONG. FOR ALL OF US HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT, WHICH REALLY MEANS THAT WE HAVE ALL FORGOTTEN WHO WE REALLY ARE AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER IN OUR LIVES! WE AS A PEOPLE HAVE TO STOP PUTTING OUR LEADERS ON THESE UNREALISTIC PEDISTALS! FOR WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT........THEY WILL FALL SOMETIMES!! WHY? BECAUSE THEY ARE HUMAN JUST LIKE YOU AND ME! BUT IT IS UP TO US TO HELP PULL THEM BACK UP INSTEAD OF LOOKING AT THEM WHILE THEY ARE DOWN AND SHAKING OUR HEADS IN DISCRACE. AND THAT'S WHY ALOT OF PEOPLE DON'T LIKE COMING TO CHURCH NOW!!!!! The bottom line is that there is no justification for what the Bishop did. Period. There is no scripture that would justify or support these actions even if the perpertrator does wear the title "bishop." Yes it is true that as imperfect creators we all make mistakes and are subject to misjudgment. However, it also appears that this is not a one time or isolated incident. You can best believe that this has happened before, the only difference this time is that it went beyond "closed doors."

I agree. There is every indication that this has happened before. First, it is very unusual for a man who has never engaged in a previous domestic violence situation to suddenly elevate from anger to the level of viciousness that "Bishop" exhibited in one so-called isolated incidence of rage. Domestic violence is more characteristically introduced in phases. It typically begins with a push or a shove not an all out beat down. I do not buy it. Forgiveness and prayer is one thing, but deliberately turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to a potentially life threatening situation under the guise of Jesus is just wrong; not to mention religiously irresponsible. Please! Give me a break.

While I was married my wife cheated on me and had a baby by another man but to hit her and beat her would be irresposible regardless. We reconcilled and she cheated again and another baby causing the divorce. I had no choice but to forgive her. Ironically I still love her. She was my first love. I just couldn't help myself. Oh yeah, I've been called the biggest fool.I was 22 at the time but as they say "love is blind." But she did have one wonderful son for me thank God. I was never married or divorced before, niether was she, everything was new to me.I had no example to follow. What got me was her beauty whereas she could do no wrong. I was a college man and in the Air Force ROTC where separation was enevitable. Her sister was so nice to me but warned me that guys were coming on to her and I'd better get leave regularly. Yes she was a stunning beauty that would shame the high profile models of today. She confided in her sister that she was tempted all the time. I tried to make regular visits but duty calls and I had to make a no-win decision. So she was not all to blame I suppose, but to savagely beat her was out of the question, I just had to "man-up" and take my responsibility. She and I talk from time to time but she has spoiled me as I compare women I date. Crashing her skull and brusing her body would have made things worse. This is where Bishops Weeks crossed the line. He too should have "manned-up" and took a temporary vacation when the pressure came instead of disgracing himself as the nation will continually sterio type us black men compounded with Michael Vick, Mike Tyson, Michael Jackson, O. J. Simson etc..Our beautiful black women is still dear to me and treated as queens as they should. I'll marry again I suppose because I liked married life. I never revealed to my son what his mother did for fear it may damage him against women. I trust people who read this thread draw from this story that real men love their wives as Christ loved the Church.

We have to get to a place where we stop putting man in God's place. The book of Joshua says, "Choose you this day whom ye will serve." I've read so many blogs of people stating that situations and people like this is what keeps them out of church or from worshipping with a church body. I think that's all a bunch of bull and more excuses to justify your own mess. First of all, you go to God and let him lead you to the house that He wants you to be in. Then, stop making gods out of the preacher and putting them in a position to be something they can't be...perfect. The bottom line, at the end of the day, is that Weeks needs help and not the kind of help that man can give. How many people (be it clergy, singers, family, etc.) have done things in the dark that you may never know about? God has a way of exposing your mess. Do I believe Weeks has been exposed? It's not for me to say. What I do believe is that God will get ALL glory from both of their situations and their stories will help someone else see the way to salvation.

Let me just say thank you to the man who posted the thread about his situation with his wife. As a single woman, I could find 100 (maybe even 1000) reasons why I would NOT want to be married and why I think marriages don't and won't work. However, I know that marriage is ordained and blessed by God and that He finds favor in it. I don't know about yall but I want all the favor I can stand and then some. It's good to know that there are men who still value marriage and what it means to be a Godly head of your household. It's refreshing to know that that kind of love still exists in this day and age. Well, this has to be the biggest pack of craziness I've read all day. There are actually people that are saying that there are two sides to this story, as if he was somehow provoked. I'm just trying to figure out were the heck things went wrong here. Then, there are the people who say, oh we shouldn't judge him...He didn't mean to do it. Yes sir, let's invite him back to church on Sunday and listen to him. Let's cheer for the wife beater in the pulpit. You all have to be kidding. We all fall short...Falling short would be flipping someone the bird in traffic because you are mad. I hardly call BEATING and CHOKING your wife "falling short." I am appauled and quite frankly some of the people that wrote this crap should be too.

I have to say, too, that another problem with the church is that they are afraid to let others know that they have problems and issues like everyone else. Christians need to stop PRETENDING to be so perfect and try being more Christ-like. That's why people are not being saved. Someone out there needs your story. They need to know you had an abortion and how you dealt with it but also how God dealt with you. They need to know you didn't always have mustard seed faith and how you dealt with it but also how God dealt with you. What we forget it that our trials are not just about us. There is someone out there who needs your testimony to bring them out of their own situation. But, no...we want to shout all the time, look deep all the time, hallelujah all the time and act like we don't have moments where we forgot who and who's we were. It's okay to admit that I lost it yesterday and cussed out someone. It's even okay to admit that there was a point during this whold situation where we were good and mad at Weeks fo losing it and putting himself out there the way he did. It's real easy to point the finger at someone else's mess like we didn't just do the same thing last weekend. Somebody somewhere needs this story as well as the story that comes behind it. If for no other reason, we should be praying for this family because of the position they hold in the lives of countless people. We need to be praying for those who serve under their ministries that their faith doesn't waiver and that ministry is still the focus and goal. Who knows, this could have been God's way of forcing this congregation to take their focus off the man and put it back in THE MAN!

I beleive that this was a very unfortunate situation and for anything to be righted God must be in it. I personally feel that it's not for anyone to judge rather he be a man of God or not because the word says let God be the judge and every man a liar. I believe that what needs to happens that the Bishop needs to go before God and repent that mercy may be granted unto him. Because it's a dangerous thing to be in your sin and not trying to make it right. What some have failed to mention is to pray for all the souls that he has ministered to because they are in danger. Because obviously the gospel he was preaching was enough to keep him, so that tells you something about what he believes. Because the Word of God is more than able to keep you from falling. So pray for those souls that they find the real gospel of God for themselves. That they may not be found in shame as he was.

I've listen to the reports and have read some of the messages that others have written concerning this incident. What a tragedy and a dis-service to the "Body of Christ".

As if we don't have enough "Red Flags" questioning the stability and worthiness of those who claim to be "Men & Women of God". Then this happens. You come to the conclusion that "at the end of the day God is the ONLY for Sure Thing!"

Will the TRUE believers pray that God will restore BOTH "Bishop Thomas & Prophetess Bynum" Notice I said "BOTH" let's not tear down one and lift the other. Yes! Bishop Weeks is wrong for what he did, and he shall reap greatly for his actions: Prophetess Bynum also has a history of "abuses in raping and robbing the "people of God" through manipulative methods in (offerings-money). This is the same "Women of God" who put into motion a law suit against Bishop Jakes for royalities on the "No More Sheets" sermon that she preached and through my own personal experience have encounter the grief and shame of how she only "prophesied "only" to those who could give a $1000.00 or more in an offering".

Our prayer should be: God Please restore Bishop Weeks & Prophetess Bynum. There level of influence can cause many to faint and lose hope in knowing that God can do anything but "fail". May their "human-ness" never get the best of them again, and Please before either one of them stand before your people again, "let not personal gain- through the selling of books, or sermons on this matter or any other matter be their portion, except they do it wholeheardedly for the building of the Kingdom of God and HIS Kingdom ALONE! through example in wisdom and humility.

Why is Juanita Bynum not accepting her husbands name? If you go to her site you will see nothing about her husband. She has been married for 6 years and still refuses to acknowledge her husbands name. Now Paula White is getting a divorce. What is going on! Some people do not know how to handle success. I do no condone Bishop Weeks for chocking his wife. But There is definitely something wrong here. Is she ashamed of him?

I was a lost of words when I heard about the situation at hand. My first thoughts were toward her husband at the time but God showed me how we cannot as Christians become judges. He is the only and righteous judge. At some point and time I have been in a very abusive relationship and tried to keep it hid for years. My heart goes out to her and her husband as well. I think there is some confusion here. What does "saved" and tolerating abuse have to do with one another? I am fed up with the misuse and manipulation of scripture. I am also offended by the attempts to use God's word and church titles as a defense for violating another person. Being a Pastor, Bishop, Prophetess/Prophet, etc. does not sanction or inappropriate and malicious actions. You have the defenders on one side saying that we should not be so quick to judge and the naysayers on the other side saying the opposite. The fact is that there are only two people that knows what happened, and you can best believe that if you sat down and had a personal conversation with either one of them they too would offer different perpectives on the event. However, there is one thing that cannot be ignored. BISHOP WEEKS VIOLATED JUANITA BYNUM AND THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT. The bottom line is that no matter how creatively scripture is applied Bishop Weeks was wrong. As christians we have to be careful of what messages we are sending out. Whether we realize it or not, we are telling our sisters, mothers, and daughters that it is okay to tolerate mistreatment from a man as long as he claims to be a man of God. We are also telling our brothers, fathers, and sons that it is okay for them to resort to physical violence in order to keep a woman under control since the man is supposed to be considered to be the head. This philosopy is not only chauvenist, but it was never what God intended.

Don't get me wrong, I thank God for the provision of forgiveness. I am also comforted by the fact that through him we all have the ability to receive an infinite amount of chances to redeem ourselves in order to become benefactors of his kingdom. However, I am offended by the exploitation of God's word in this forum because as humans we have the capacity to operate in a better fashion than that. Besides, this is not a contest about who knows the most scriptures. The issue goes ways beyond that.

Come out of the darkness people, and step into the light. Being a christian is not a license to do whatever you want. A church is only as good as its congregation. If you have church members looking the other way just because a situation involved members of the pulpit then the church is not real. Yes, it is our hope that God Bishop Weeks and gives him a second chance just like many of you probably will, but it it is foolish and irresponsible on everybody's part to pretend like he never did anything wrong. The only thing we can do is hope and pray that he has learned from his lesson because if he does not it is only a matter of time before he kills a woman.

We all have to remember that although people claim to be called by God and annointed does not necessarily meant that they are walking in God's true favor. We have many people that have public titles as this and that and behind closed doors they are doignthings that are not right. I read a comment earlier that we need not to follow gods servants and his followers but follow him , because it is only thru following God that we will truly understand the essence of his glory. Sometimes we put peopl eon these high points and we do not see that we are following them adn worshipping them and not God, and not everyone that claims they are chosen and prospers means that they were chosen by God. My brethren out there! I believe the the list of those going to heaven is being narrowed down! don't get distracted! PRAY FOR BYNUM & WEEKS! I think for so long we as women as been brain wash to think that it is O.k. for a man to abuse a woman and get away with it. Some men only feel powerful when a woman is wounded. The moment you are delivered and start to prosper, it becomes a threat. For so long we hide domestic voilence in the church. I personally know ministers who abuse their wife, and have affairs in the church, even get women pregnant. They are still preaching today. Juanita is the victim in this situation. She did not beat her husband. It was the other way around. We must as women stand up for each other, instead of hating on each other. It was because of Juanita Bynum mentorship seminar that I decided to to back to nursing school and become a RN. Today I am able to travel and give my five children a good education. My prayer partners got so jealous, they didn't come to the graduation. The moment God elevate me, they no longer see the need to pray with me. Some christians like when you depend on them. God delights in the prosperty of his people. This not about Juanita's status in life, it's about a woman who was savagely beaten by her husband. She could have died. Notice all her minister friends are no where to be found. She stands alone with God. He will bless those of you who bless her and he will curse those who curse her. If she feel her life is threaten by her husband, then she should divorce him. The next time it could be death. I just wonder if many who post here could possibly learn how to speak and to spell before showing the rest of your ignorance about something you obviously don't understand.

I believe we must not be quick to judge here as we all know the impact these one are making for God and the great evangelism on their wedding day.

I believe that the devil is stupidly afraid and he has lost this battle because the song that started the wedding was "great is thy faithfulness, oh Lord my father...". I think their counsellors should play the tapes of the wedding for them everyday and we as christiams should pray earnestly for this family of God.

He that has began a good work in them will perfect it, they will come back together, stronger and better to make more impact for God, this is their wilderness experience, God will walk with them and take them out gloriously

I am so sorry that you feel this way.You must lead such an unfulfilled life that you have also become what you condem others of. First of all you must learn what a prophet is. A prophet speaks the mind of God. A prophet does not speak unles God reveals a messege. he that has an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying to the churches. If you read the word then you know that you came from the word. God knew you before you formed in your mothers womb. God breathed the breath of life into your ungreatful mortal body. God even allows you to exist while you speak vile and evil things about His searvants. The word says Judge not another mans servant. So I ask on this day who are you serving? Its one or the other. Your only worried about heaven or hell huh? Well what do you know about the kingdom of God. What do you know? Can science explain why you don't believe in God? Science can't even cure the common cold but my God. The key is faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. So tell me how science proves that faith is in motion. Well let me help you out.When you sit in a chair you belive it is going to hold you but you will not know until you lower yourself into it. Well I have faith that you too will searve God and I pray that it is not because you tried everything else and then found that there is no subsitute for God. Just believe and the bible says you will be saved. Just believe. Believe.

This has nothing to do with the devil. The man is a woman beater and noone should make excuses for him. He's a coward and deserves the worst possible sentence an abuser could receive. He will never be in my thoughts and prayers. People often forget about the victim in many of these domestic violence cases.
