I am ralatively newly ordained in the ministry and know the pain and personal truma of disappointment in marriage and how it can war against God's ordained purpose for our lives.

My husband, and I for the past 5 years have been trying to reconcile and satan has raged war in our relationship in the area of domestic violence and finance. But nonetheless WE ARE THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD AND HE NEVER FAILS US when we completely cast our cares on Him.

I am about as church as anyone that I have met, but I refused to leave an inane comment as if this is not a serious offense. I have read some of the responses and one would think that only a social disagreement took place between a husband and wife. You can throw God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost in this situation if you so desire. However, it was not the Trinty that tried to kill Juanita in the parking lot. Contrary to popular belief, that was not normal aggression stemming from anger. There are some deep seated issues at play. We might be too holy to look at it rationally, but the law will deal with this crime for what it is. Minimizing its severity will not help. No one likes it when those we trust so deeply behave badly. What would have happened had the bellman not intervened? What would have happened had they been at home alone? Choosing to continuously stomp, punch, and choke someone is nothing short of attempting to murder. I am sick and tired of all the foolishness we put under the rug. This man has issues that were unknown and INTENTIONALLY hidden from Sister Bynum prior to their engagement. Like most church folk, we say nothing and hope for the best in matters of relationship. Be it family, friends or former girlfriends, someone knew he had the propensity to do harm. To us, it is a shock. We will never know whether jealousy or envy played a major part. We do know that blaming the victim is not the answer. I am not impress with the lawyer telling the media that there were things that lead up to it. No sir mister lawyer, there is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for beating a woman worse than a dog!!. He can and should be restored to God. Repentance is the act of getting things right between you and God, but getting things right with you and another human is diffrent. We must keep it real and get rid of the dumb stuff. I do not care about his title or status in Atlanta, I would not take him back if he came swimming in holy water. I disagree with any minister who tells women to stay with spouses that do them great harm! We are all tired of folk speaking in tongues and offering sweltering prayers then go home and beat the hell of their wives and children. Hell is a real place; unfortuantely, many of those who tell us to walk the straight and narrow fail to do so themselves.

Stop judging the man and woman of God. If God can use a donkey to speak His Word, then He can use anyone! It is not up to us to decide who God will use. People are called by God and have to receive Him daily and not get caught up in Ministry to others that God may have a place in their hearts daily. God is a revealer and His plan is eternal. Let us examine ourselves least we not be judged. AMEN

We are living in the last days and the devil knows his days are numbered. These attacks on the Holy Order of God shows us that we have to be prepare to fight evil. The Bible said that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, against the rulers of the darkness of the world. Just as the devil entered Judas and betray Christ its the same with Wanita and Weeks. Pray that God will remove that wife beating demon from the earth.

What a shame. I remember hearing Bishop Weeks speak last year at the Threshing Floor Conference in Atlanta, about how favor is given to the man through the woman. He quoted Proverbs 18:22, "He who finds a wife, finds a good thing, and receives favor from God." If I remember correctly, he said something like "Women, you don't have to settle for any kind of man, because the man receives favor through you." Well, if this is how he thanks God for the favor he received by uniting him with this powerful woman of God, he should go back and do more reasearch on this scripture. In all thy wisdom you need to get understanding! This kind of attack and assault is uncaused for on any woman by a man, and especially for a man who stood before 80,000 people and made such a strong statement about favor from God!! My prayers are with Sis. Bynum, and I know God will lead her in the right direction conerning this matter. And like she stated on her myspace, "This to shall pass".

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.This is the word the Lord gave me for minister Wanita and Weeks.

Juanita, I am praying for you and your family I have been there and I must say only the grace of God delivered me and my husband I remember I had to go back to the root of where my abruse started and that was with my parents as a child watching the fighting and anger take place. I remember reading your book and listeing to tapes no more sheet for me and my husband healing took place just to let you know that your tape morning glory ministered to me and my daughters every day, I pray that God's will be done. The younger generation needs you so keep the faith in all you do trust in God.

What was the cause of the argument? What does she have on him? What would cause a man to beat a woman so terribly? He already has a powerful ministry, what would make him do such a thing? Must be something terrible. Jealousy, hatred, or whatever - this man is a pig and he should be punished. I do not accept the fact that the "devil" made him do it. We all have choices - he chose the fist. Juanita, let him go - he is not tied to your future.

The public confusion between Juanita Bynum and her husband is a sad sad thing. It is a very poor example of what holy and God fearing people should be. They both need to step forward and apoligize to the public for such poor, adverse behavior and for the disgrace that has been brought unto the Body of Christ. You both need some down time from the ministry.Your actions have taken the impact from your message.

My heart cries out for both Juanita and Thomas. Our Christian community is indeed deeply hurt and saddened by this crisis and assault to our spirits. This is why we keep our eyes lifted up to only Christ Who Is the Author and Finisher of our faith because humans will always let us down, one way or another. But - Sister Juanita needs to get the heck out of this marriage to a man who would STOOP SO LOW as to actually STOMP AND CHOKE her - something that no man would even do to a dog let alone his wife. Bishop Weeks absolutely went TOO FAR - he crossed the line! Bishop Weeks needs serious help after this show of complete emotional instability. And we will continue to pray for the both of them as we all heal from this horrible event that has taken place against our Sister.

This took me by surprise to hear this would happen to two people who are used of God so frequently. I am so very hurt that it took place in such a public place... but lets be real men and women fight every day married and unmarried.... is it right?... no but it happens... the only reason this is getting media attention is because of there status. If some others in the ministry would be honest there is problably a couple in everyones church across america that is subject to domestic violence... and that is just what this is Domestice Violence in a very violent way.. no different from your saved husband/or wife abusing you mentally or emotionally. I just pray that the perfect will of God be done in there lives and that whatever God is trying to do that he will be glorified.. We must realize that this could be you or me and we would want people to do more praying then talking. I am not married but I looked up to Miss Bynum as a single women and was happy when she finally married again because she was happy. TO Quanita: Whatever you chosse to do in this situation please let it be based on the will of God and not what society says or would think of you.

This week we have learned that pastors are people too. We expect them not to make mistakes, and in most cases we treat them like they are supposed to be our God or they are going to save us. Instead of trying to be in their business and have an opinion about what they do, why can't we pray for them? God forbid it would happen to you or your pastors, what would you allow people to say then?

It is extremely a grieving of the Holy Spirit. The church is under attack! First and foremost, many have put the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the bottom of their ministries. Yet, we were told to preach the Gospel to every creature but in this latter day, it is all about self-promotion in the name of Jesus! Lord help us! There are souls dying, crying, wounded and hurt, while we drive fancy cars, and always look for God's hand instead of His face. God is not a "sugar daddy", and He will begin to take many through a terrible rod of chasetisement if we do not awake out of the sleeping state that the church is now in. We need to get back to soul winning and reaching out to the lost at any cost! I do not judge Mr. Weeks nor Ms. Bynum, I only pray that this incident will awaken the church at the sensitive time that we are living in. Chruch it is praying time!

I ask that we all just simply pray for the two of them. I am more confused than ever now about the calling on my life. When called I told God that I didn't want to be anythign but staight forward with his children. So many look to fortune and fame; let us all just seek God.

We Christian need to pray daily for our leaders of the body of Christ.
God want us to live surrendered lives. He sees behind the wall and the shutters of our life. He uses situations such as these for correction. We need to pray for our Christian brothers and sister who violate His covenant. We must continue to pray and seek His will. I know that God will work this situation out for His good. I pray that they will both surrender and let the Holy Spirit work thru them. We were purchased with the Blood of OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST. We are loved regardless of what this world thinks. We are overcommers. Jesus Christ is Our Example.

The first thing all of us need to realize is that pastors and pastors'wives are human and they make mistakes just like we do. God didn't send pastors to the cross because he knew that it would be days like this one; he sent his precious son, my big brother, Jesus. We want to put them under a telescope and wait for them to make a mistake so we can have an excuse not to serve God. I am by no means saying that her husband was right for hitting her. We just need to get 2 brothers to hook him up like he did her and maybe he will keep his hands to himself, and then the both of them can repent to one another. But let us not use this personal matter that was brought into the public's eyes as an excuse not to serve God or to point a finger. If you want to go to hell God made it wide and deep enough to hold a lot of people. I know someone will be offended by this, maybe you are the one I was writing this to. While we pray for Thomas & Juanita we must remember that it is not right to sweep things under the carpet which we as Christians normally tend to do, nor is it right to stand in judgement. One person's comment about Thomas Weeks having issues to deal with is most accurate. 'Out of the heart flows issues of life'. They both need to get help, counselling, whatever & fast. The world is watching & waiting to see how we deal with this. What we (on the sidelines) can do is to lift them up in prayer, that they will deal ruthlessly with whatever issues caused both of them to end up where they currently are. I plead with you brethren 'judge not... for with whatever measure you judge shall you also be judged. We need to pray for ministers in the lime light - there's too much going on. I pray for Juanita Bynum's recovery in health and spirit and also for Bishop Thomas Weeks. However, I pray with more intensity for the recovery of the image of Jesus' bride, the Church, and for GOD's name which has taken another blow. The world is always ready to criticize the fallen in the body of Christ and translate that into doubt in the power of GOD his order and his love and even take some of our comments and translate that into doubt in his ability to forgive our sins because we wont forgive each other.
You see the real tragedy here is the blemish this brother has placed on the image of GOD seen by those who are unsaved. We are to show the world the power and the glory of GOD and the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ as our savior and peace maker. That is our only job. Judging or deciding what should be done to this couple is not our job or concern, it is the Lord's, He is the Judge.
Hopefully the body of Christ can get out of GOD's way and not send words of criticism and destruction but send out into the airwaves words of prayer and reconciliation for these two children of GOD and most importantly for the Image of GOD reflected by them and all of us. Let's all stand together as one body, as GOD instructs us to do, in LOVE. We are GOD's family, we are his children and he hates to see us fighting with each other. There is power in agreement.

When I left your conference last year in Orlando
Fla I was severly attacked by the devil. I did not want to hear anything about God. I could not pray I did not go to church for about three months for whenever I went it was as if I was in the wrong place. But there were people praying for me and my God turned me around. I lost about 20 lbs and I am 5 ft 6-1/2 and was weighing only 135lbs. I stopped smiling felt like I was going to die and go to hell, but I kept rembering u said at the conference that you prayed for all women at that conference would not go to hell. But at that time I was sure I was heading there. Now no devil in hell can come near me, I am an ambassador for Jesus and I'm heaven bound.
The satanists are fervrent in there fastings and prayers for ministers of the gospel of Christ and marriages to fail but let me tell u, God is standing by . This will be your most powerful testimony. God bless you both as you resolve this marriage and let God be glorified. THE DEVIL IS STILL A LIAR. HE WILL ALWAYS BE ONE. THE WORLD AWAITS YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND.

No woman or any human should be beaten like that...If God truly ordained this union, God will fix what is broke!!! These vessels are spiritually torn and this is a job for God Almighty!

I think what he did to Mrs. Bynum is terrible. But you people are acting like she is a God.
I have seen her a few times on TV, and when she started dressing sexy, see through blouses, low cut tops; that's all I needed to see. What kind of person, who preaches everything holy, would start dressing like this?? I also just listen to a part of her video on her web site......she was bragging about owning 3 houses, paintings that cost a million dollars each...
It disgusted me.

In this life we encounter things which will make us feel like we will not make it. It is at least the attempt of Satan to disrupt and to nullify the workings of the Holy Spirit. Little by little he tries to chip away at our disciplines until we get to the point where we say we are only human. Although we go through many battles, and some we loose, we ultimately win the war because we dont deter from our faith and calling. Yes Christians go through trials and tribulations, but we shall let nothing separate us from the love of God. There is a saying that anything that does not kill you will make you stronger. Stronger in love, stronger in faith, stronger in wisdom, stronger in determination, stronger in the lord. Why do good people go through bad things? It is because of where we temporaraly reside. The bible says that satan seeks to kill steal and destroy. As Christians we must remember that although we live in the greatest country on earth we will also suffer in some ways as Christ suffered. Persecution by those who say they love us. Juanita, God has not forsaken you. You are having your Job experience. Take your Sabbatical and listen only to God through your heart. You must of course forgive you husband to tear the cord which binds you to the hurt. You may not be pleased to dwell with him but continue to pray for him for as he preached before, through your prayers God may restore him. After divorce from my abusive marriage I continued to pray for him because I didn't want to loose my joy in kowing God or the authority he had given me to tread upon serpents (spiritually). That abusive drug user became a Pastor and I know it is because God hears the earnest prayers of his children and I just kept praying through the hurt. We talk often about the Lord and he is remarried. I remarried the kindest most Godly man who really loves and Trust God. After 15 years and I get roses every month. So remember God has good things in store for you.

PS. I realized later that his abusiveness had nothing to do with me whatsoever, There were unresolved issues in his life.

This whole incident just makes me realize even more and accept that our hope should not lie in man but in GOD. We need to look to God and not be led astray by what others do. God will judge them but we must keep our eyes on God for our spiritual growth.

I am so sadden by this chain of events but remember these are the days Paul said will and must be. Lets stop being so shocked. The fact that they are leaders in the church does not make a difference. I noticed so many of you quoting scripture and saying so much about what I am not sure. They were simply unequally yoked. They are human and I believe that this was not the first incident of this nature. In working with abused women, they endure (for what reason I am not sure). We as women as survivers and I am positive this too, it will pass for Ms Bynum ( no I am not using a title because for now she needs to heal and the fact that she has a title does not make a difference, she is a women in need of healing). Let respect her and give her, her privacy. Lets get out of God's way and let him heal her. The best thing we can do for her is to pray. Remember when Jeremiah needed the Master's intervention, the Master said to "call on the women and let them pray and ask". This is the most perfect thing at this point. Lets not make any vicious comments, but lets simply pray- a nation of women praying can do a whole lot more than the court system. Take care Ms. Bynum my heart and prays go to you, and this too shall past!

The bible says perilous times will come, fathers against son, mothers against daughter and now we have husband against wife and vice versa.
Only the Lord and the ones closes to the two knows what really sparked this incident. It is imperative that we do not place the televangelist and bishop so high up that we can not accept their falling. Juanita Bynum knew what buttons to push to trigger the reaction that she received and Thomas Weeks was not pray up enough to see it coming. Now Weeks has disgraced himself, his parents and his church family because Juanite has achieved just what she wanted she can get a divorce and not pay Weeks one cent.

You set him up! Where is your discretion, Woman of God?

Now is not the time to judge anyone by saying who deserves what. Now is the time for us as christians to wake up and realise what is happening to the church. The devil is working overtime because he realises that his time is running out. We need to get back on our knees in prayer for our marriages, our children and of course the church. Rev Bynum and Bishop Weeks are in the public's eyes and are respected by all, therefore if the devil is successful in destroying this union he knows this could affect the church. I do pray and hope that GOD will restore, heal and deliver this family and that they will rise to the top and put the devil to shame. It is not our place to encourage Jaunita to leave her husband. I know what happened is totally unacceptable but GOD can repair, rebuild and restore. These people belong to THE MOST HIGH GOD, why should we allow the devil to walk in and take away something that has been blessed by GOD. We need to pray

Juanita I know you suffered humiliation among other things, however whatever you decide to do allow GOD to lead you and not your emotions are the influence of others. You are a powerful woman of GOD, don't allow the enemy to destroy you.

The bible shows us that we fail in every area of our life, even in marriage.We appear to be prosperous publicly,but a faliure privately. In this case the faliure was publicly, however we know that all sin and come short of the glory of God. We do expect our leaders to be good examples,but the fact is they fail us. I have suffered real bad leadership, and I have been able to heal from the destruction that it tryed to cause for my life.I now feel sad for them, due to they know the wrong they caused me and will have to take carry it with them. So everyone affected by this, just remember, the poor exampleship will be a thorn in their side for a long time, and someone said they should both sit down from ministry, for sure. Hopefully both may be humble enough to do this. They do need to be accountable. I also think that they need our prayers
