Walt Disney Pictures (DIS) picked up a romantic comedy script from John Strauss and Ed Decter, which they've landed Salma Hayek to star in.
Hayek, who is a partner in Ventanarosa, a company made to promote Latin actors and themes, also has her co-partner Jose Tamez on board as a producer.
Strauss and Dector have scripted other projects for Disney, including "The Wild," "The Santa Clause 2" and "The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause."
Hayek will play the finacee of a conservative doctor, when she learns her former boyfriend, who is a worldwide Latin celebrity, is coming to Los Angeles to get her back.
Disney has Hayek working on a animated film, as a voice in "South of the Border." She is of course also the executive producer of "Ugly Betty" for Disney's ABC, which she is up for an Emmy for as a guest actress.
