Contrary to childhood stars like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, Sarah Michelle Gellar says her years as a child actor hasn't hurt her at all.
Gellar was actually discovered at only four-years-old, and a couple of years later would act in her first TV movie. From there she of course became popular through playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where her acting career took off.
According to Gellar, acting at a young age helped her to stay out of trouble. She said: "You don't party when you're on a TV show. You got to bed for ten hours and you learn your lines."
The actress added she never had a cigarette or drank until she was 21.
Gellar, who is 30-years-old now, says she lives very levelly and doesn't take things to the extreme. She'd rather have a glass of wine with dinner than get drunk at an LA club.
Her latest project is the animated film Happily Never After, which is in theaters now.
