Ving Rhames' Dogs Maul Caretaker to Death

Ving Rhames could be in a lot of trouble, as his dogs mauled and killed his caretaker on Friday.

Even though Rhames was out of the country shooting a film, under California law a person is liable for their dogs if they attack a person.

When police officers arrived at Rhames' home, they found his caretaker lying on the front lawn with bite wounds all over his body.

While the victim was not identified, Police Officer Sandra Gonzalez said he was a 40-year-old black male that had been employed by Rhames for two years, taking care of the property and the animals.

The dogs, which were taken by animal control, were three mastiffs and an English bulldog. Authorities say at least two were involved in the attack and death of the man.

So far there have no charges filed against Rhames.

Ving Rhames is a great actor.

One of the best in America.

It is a pity that his dog attacked one of his caretaker.

Even though Ving should not be held responsible because he was not home, but I would advise him to pay off the victim and get rid of the dog.

By the way, I would like US Congress, all the states and cities in America to do something about this continued menace by dogs due to the negligence of their owners.

In New York, some families own 2-10 dogs and sometimes in some of the parks, especially in Upper Manhattan on the East side, where the rich and famous live, you would see professional dog walkers with 10-20 dogs roaming the parks and scaring everyone away.

This is dangerous to pedestrians and should be outlawed.

Also, dog owners who walk their dogs and let their dogs mess up the side walks and who refuse to pick up after their dog (as the law requires of them) insult the neighborhood and its residents.

Imagine walking on the side walk in hurry to go to work and stepping on dog doo-doos. It is filthy, uncivilized and disgusting.

The police should be deployed to haunt these negligent and irresponsible dog walkers down and if caught, they should be prosecuted and punished by making them eat only dog doo-doo for a month, pay a hefty fine, and jailed for 7 yrs in addition to their dogs being taken away from them and placed in animal shelters.

Owning a pet should not give anyone the license to become irresponsible, a nuisance and menace to the society.
