The high expectations and huge marketing efforts for the fall season haven't paid off for new shows yet, as they haven't done much to stir the imaginations of viewers.
"Bionic Woman" in its debut, has been the best new show so far in the young season, drawing a 5.5 rating the 18-49 key demo. It beat out "Private Practice," the "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff, which had a 5.1 rating, which makes it the seasons' second place show behind "Bionic."
"Dancing With the Stars" had a decent rating, winning the 8 p.m. slot with a 4.0 mark. "Kid Nation," in spite of all the buzz, dropped 10 percent, only able to come in with a 2.8 rating.
The 10 p.m. hour was won by the debut of NBC's "Life," finishing at 4.1. That brought them the third-rated new show of the season so far. It beat out the season premiere of "CSI:NY" which was only able to come up with a 3.7 rating, dropping a huge 26 percent from last year.
ABC (DIS) won the overall night, with NBC (GE) finishing second, after that came CBS (CBS-A), Fox (NWS-A) and The CW.

I'm glad the Bionic Woman did well. I've read a lot of bad reviews about it but I really liked the pilot.
I hope the next episodes are good.
