A bomb went off outside a studio owned by Michael Imperioli, who played the nephew of Tony Soprano, Christopher Moltisanti, in the HBO hit series "The Sopranos."
The bomb squad unit of the police department is investigating to see if there is any connection to the actor's studio, and what type of explosive was used.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said, "There was an explosion in the street, it blew out windows of a van parked in front of the building, and thankfully no one was injured. While there certainly is no evidence that this was terrorism, we are taking this and every act of violence extremely seriously."
Other than damage to a van, there were no serious injuries. The studio is located a couple blocks south of Madison Square Garden.
