Britney Spears Doesn't Look Good at MTV Video Music Awards

The much hyped return of Britney Spears to the stage didn't seem to do much to relaunch her career.

Spears helped kick off the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards tonight in Las Vegas, performing her newest song, "Gimme More." When I was finished watching it I wanted Britney to give me less.

The video I show here of her performance seems to be off in the audio, but it still looked like she had lipsynched the whole thing. This was one of the worse performances I've seen Britney do. I don't know if it's just me, but she just looks like she's getting old and out of shape.

This is Spears first public appearance to promote the upcoming November 13 album release.

Here's a video of her performance:

I thought she looked aged and out of shape myself, and that could be part of the reason she wasn't dancing with nearly as much energy (or at all) as she used to. I thought the performance was lazy. Maybe she should lay off the partying and focus on her career if that's what she wants otherwise she should just avoid live performances.

I guess it is open season to dump on Britney Spears.
I am not her fan and don't listen to her songs.

However, the critics of her latest performance should not forget how old this young woman is. Also people should remember she is human and not a machine. Humans sometimes are tired.
