
Jennifer Hudson will join the "Sex and the City" ladies as she becomes part of the big screen adaptation of the hit TV series.
Hudson who won an Oscar for "Dreamgirls," will play the part of an assistant to Carrie Bradshaw, the character played by Sarah Jessica Parker.
Along with Hudson and Parker, reprising their roles in the film will be Chris Noth, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cnythia Nixon.
Writing and directing the project will be Michael Patrick King, who was the shows' executive producer, who will also produce the big screen version, along with Parker, Darren Star and John Melfi.
Shooting is set to begin September 19 in New York.
