One of the greatest tenors of his generation, Luciano Pavarotti, 71-years-old, is reportedly in serious condition at his home in Modena, Italy.
Last summer Pavarotti required surgery for pancreatic cancer and underwent the procedure in New York.
In August Pavarotti had to be taken to the hospital with a fever, and was released on August 25 from the hospital after being treated for two weeks.
Italian news agency AGI reported he was being treated by cancer specialists at home now and they described his condition as "very serious."
He is now drifting in and out of consciousness and suffering from kidney failure. Family and friends have come to surround him during this time.
At the time of his operation, Pavarotti was about to resume his farewell tour.
