The nude photo of Vanessa Hudgens circulating around the Internet has been confirmed as real, according to her unnamed representative.
The rep said: "This was a photo which was taken privately. It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public."
It's not known yet how the photo was uploaded to the web, it seems it would have been from Vanessa or her boyfriend, fellow High School Musical star Zac Ephron.
Either Hudgens received terrible advice to do this, or someone thought it would be a fun prank to pull on her. It wasn't the smartest thing that could have been done.
To have this hapen when she is portraying a wholesome image in the High School Musical juggernaut, while being connected to Disney (DIS), was some of the poorest judgement that could have been shown.
Not only that, but she is also in negotiations to continue on with the brand. She may end up wishing she had taken the original $1 million offered her.
Hopefully this isn't the first step into becoming another in the line of stupid celebrities like Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. To have her just become another subject of tabloid fodder would be a tragedy.
While certain elements in Hollywood won't be bothered by this, it could definitely take her down a path she wasn't planning on going.
