O.J. Simpson was arrested a little after 11:00 am in Las Vegas for the alleged armed robbery of some people in a casino hotel room. Simpson, when he was considered a suspect, said he was conducting a "sting operation." Another unnamed man, at the time, was also arrested.
Those filing the complaint said a gang of men with guns accosted them and took sports memorabilia out of the room alleged to be Simpson's.
When Simpson was initially questioned, he said a friend helped set up the meeting so he could retrieve his belongings, when the person became suspicious they may have been stolen goods.
Simpson said the accusations people in the party were armed isn't true. He hasn't identified the men with him, but maintained they weren't gangsters, saying, "They're not gangsters -- not that I know of, anyway," Simpson said. "I don't hang out with gangsters. I hang out with golfers."
He maintains he's done nothing wrong.
