I don't think it would matter what particular list you make up for TV personalities and entertainers, Oprah Winfrey is going to come out on top of it. The latest is no exception, as Winfrey topped Forbe's list of richest TV personalities, taking in $260 million from June 2006 and June 2007.
The No. 2 spot on the list was taken by Jerry Seinfeld, bringing in about $60 million during the same time period. Almost all of that from residuals being paid nine years after the show stopped airing.
Reflecting the change television has went through, the vast majority of TV's riches celebritries are either talk show hosts or involved with reality TV. Daytime hosts were especially well-represented in the list.
In the past, much of the wealth was represented by sitcom stars.
Simon Cowell of Fox's "American Idol" ended up in the third position with $45 million. David Letterman, finished fourth with $40 million, followed by Donald Trump and Jay Leno (both $32 million), Dr. Phil McGraw and Judy "Judge Judy" Sheindlin (both $30 million) and George Lopez finished in ninth place ($26 million).
Kiefer Sutherland was the only prime-time series actor on the list of the Forbes TV 20, receiving $22 million for playing Jack Bauer in the popular Fox drama "24." He came in at the number ten position.

Oprah deserves her wealth because she is intelligent, charming and works hard for her money.
I like her eventhough I am not her fan and don't watch her shows regularly.
I have already suggested to her to get into politics on Republican ticket and become the first female vice-president.
Hope she would listen and do so while the opportunity for her to win is very solid.
