
After a time of difficulty getting good film opportunities after "Lord of the Rings," Viggo Mortensen has had things kick into high gear again as he is getting job offers he is having trouble keeping up with.
The latest offer is to star in the film adaption of the best-selling Cormac McCarthy novel, "The Road." He is now in talks about the project says his rep.
The story centers around the travels of a man and his young son through a post-apocalyptic world.
Scripting the film will be Joe Penahll, while John Hillcoat will direct. Producers are Nick Wechsler and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz.
Mortensen is currently starring in Eastern Promises.
