Al Gore's Fictional Film "An Inconvenient Truth" Called Unfit for Schools in Britain

After three days of hearing testimony, a British court ruled that the fictional film "An Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore, promotes "political partisan views."

As a result, if the film is shown in any British classroom, the students must be warned the film only presents one opinion among many, and they shouldn't necessarily accept what it says. The students also must be told there are other legitimate veiws of global warming not included in the film.

The court case came from regular parent concerned about the political bias of the film, who said it "is unfit for schools because it is politically biased and contains serious scientific inaccuracies and 'sentimental mush.'"

Solicitor John Day, representing Stewart Dimmock, said the government didn't go far enough, and "'no amount of turgid guidance' could change the fact that the film is unfit for consumption in the classroom."

Dimmock claimed the Government was "brainwashing" children with propaganda.

The more you find out about the errors behind the science of the so-called global warming crisis, the more it looks like it really is propaganda!

It is appalling to see to what lengths people will go to in attempts to discredit 'inconvenient' ideas. So maybe the photo was accidentally used slightly out of context...so what? The case for global warming does not rest on whether Al Gore had properly timed his ideas with his visual aids...nor does it depend upon the opinion of photographers or news readers, or for that matter, of politicians. The fact of global warming is an issue to be decided by scientists, and scientists are in general agreement (a happening that is fairly rare) that global warming is happening, is most plausibly caused by human activity, and we should be very concerned as a consequence. There is no reasonable basis in fact to call the Gore movie "fiction". I find this nonsense very transparent, and I imagine so too do most people.
