Retired "The Price is Right" host Bob Barker has been sued, along with CBS Broadcasting and FremantleMedia North America, the producer of the show, for wrongful termination.
A former employee who screened contestants - Deborah Curling - claims she was forced to quit the show after testifying in another case Barker was being sued over.
Barker has been involved in a number of lawsuits throughout the years, and Curling claims he "made it his life mission to destroy the livelihood of every person who contradicted him or did not do what Barker ordered him/her to do, whether it was legal or not."
Curling, referring to her testimony in the other lawsuit against Barker, says that after she testified she became the brunt of racial discrimination (Curling is black), and was moved to the backstage area, while her complaints about the working conditions were ignored.
Along with saying her leaving the company was because of retaliation against her, she also says there was a hostile work environment and designed actions to create emotional distress.
She adds that Barker was allowed to go on with these actions because he made so much money for CBS (CBS-A).
