Ben Mezrich, whose book "Bringing Down the House" is being made into a major movie, has now released his most recent book "Rigged," the story of a young man who sets out to revolutionize the oil trading industry.
Concerning "Bringing Down the House," which was a New York Times bestseller, it's not connected in any way to the movie with that same name, rather it's being called "21" which is based on the true story about six MIT students who were trained to become experts in card counting and subsequently took Vegas casinos for millions in winnings.
Some of the major stars in "21" will be Kevin Spacey, Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth, Laurence Fishburne, Aaron Yoo and Josh Gad.
Scripting the project were Allan Loeb and Peter Steinfeld. Robert Kuketic directed the film. It's due to be released on March 21, 2008.
With Mezrich's newest story, it definitely looks like it was written with the bigscreen in mind as well. If it's anything like "Bringing Down the House" - the book, it should draw a lot of interest and tell a great story also.
