
Fox (NWS-A) won the weekly ratings race, let by the American League Championship series between the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians.
ABC (DIS) was happy with their new comedy "Samantha Who?" which was able to hold pretty strongly from its lead-in from "Dancing with the Stars," which drew 19.4 million viewers. Samantha ended up with 14.42 million viewers, landing it in the No. 10 spot in primetime. That gives it the best viewership of a new series so far this season.
On the other hand, NBC's (GE) "Bionic Woman" continues to struggle, dropping from its debut of 13.91 million, to 8.62 million last week. It's too bad they haven't been able to deliver on a show that had drawn a lot of viewer interest.
For the week of October 15-21, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," was the top show for CBS (CBS-A), attracing 21.22 million viewers. ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" on Monday, finished in second place for the week, averaging 19.40 million. The seventh game of the ALCS between Cleveland and Boston drew 19.15 million average for Fox, to finish up the top three shows of the week.
Network totals for primetime were Fox leading the pack with an average of 11.81 million viewers (7.5 rating, 12 household share), next was CBS with an average of 10.98 million (7.1 rating, 12 share), ABC followed with 10.65 million (7.1 rating, 12 share), and NBC brought up the last place with 8.33 million (5.3 rating, 9 share).
