Jon Stewart fans will be glad to hear that the political satirist has had his contract renewed with Comedy Central cable TV, which will now have "The Daily Show" on through 2010. Stewart has been host of the show since 1999.
Stewart has also had some other big moments recently, as he was asked by producers of the Academy Awards to return to emcee the show again in February 2008.
Along with his hosting duties, Stewart is writer of the nightly program, and also the executive producer.
It was also announced that the entire catalog of shows of "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," are now going to be offered online, representing about 13,000 video clips.
It seems that Viacom (VIA-B) is really pushing Stewart to bring him out of a niche TV audience to be a mainstream entertainer for the media company.
