Lil' Wayne, a rapper for Cash Money Records, was arrested in Boise Idaho on October 6, the morning after performing a concert at the Qwest Arena.
The arrest was based on a warrant from August 14, 2006 in Atlanta, Georgia, where Lil' Wayne was arrested for possesion of drugs and drugs and weapon charges from New York.
A housekeeper found marijuana out in the open in a hotel room of Lil' Wayne, and police were called at the time. When they entered the room, they discovered an additional 60 pills of Alprazolam and 59 pills of hydrocodone also.
He has also been arrested for marijuana possession in New York, as well as possession of a weapon.
Lil' Wayne will have an arraignment and extradition hearing on Monday, October 9. He was taken into custody without incident.
It is sad how some rap musicians engage in conducts that bring them to head on collisions with the authorities most of the time, thereby justifying the opinions of those who condemn rap as evil.
