It looks like Jaime Sommers didn't get put back together again very well, as NBC's (GE) "Bionic Woman" plunged in viewership and ratings in its second week.
In its premiere last week, the show drew close to 14 million viewers, while this week it garnered 11.1 million; a drop of about 20 percent, according to Nielsen Media Research. That placed them in the 26th position overall.
For the 18-49 key demo, the show also dropped in a big way, as its premiere had it in the 8th position, while the second week it fell to 19th.
Most the buzz I've read on viewer comments has been they aren't too impressed with the new Bionic Woman and its storyline. Many are already giving up on it.
Possibly more foreboding this year, is even with these large drops in viewership, the show is still the third most-watched new show this fall.
All the four big networks are down over last year, with almost every returning show dropping viewers too.
So far CBS (CBS-A) is struggling the most, dropping in the key demo by 18 percent from last year, and 11 percent in overall viewers.
The good news for CBS is Criminal Minds did draw close to 2 million additional viewers over its fall premiere, finishing with 14.6 million.
