Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., otherwise known as T.I. - a rapper - was arrested on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta for gun possession.
The entertainer was arrested when he attempted to purchase three machine guns and two silencers. Being a convicted felon, Harris isn't allowed to own them.
When the police searched his vehicle, they found another three guns, and while searching his home another six were found, five of which were loaded.
After Harris' bodyguard was originally arrested for buying the guns from an undercover ATF agent. When busted, he agreed to cooperate with the ATF to bring the guns to Harris.
Harris was scheduled to appear at the taping of the BET Awards, which he obviously missed, now being held in jail in federal custody for the weekend. He will appear before a magistrate judge on Monday.
Host Katt Williams filled in for the rap star. Harris was also nominated for nine awards, more than anybody else.
He is also set to appear in the upcoming "American Gangster" movie, which will star Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington.
