
The battle over alleged restrictions on U.S. exports of entertainment and media related products in being brought to the World Trade Organization by the United States.
Areas the U.S. will ask the organization to examine are newspapers, magazines, books, music and films.
Washington says China is putting unfair restrictions on who they allow to import or distribute entertainment and media products in the country.
The complaint read: "It also appears that foreign individuals and enterprises ... are accorded treatment less favorable than that accorded to enterprises in China with respect to the right to trade."
China also has a case pending against the U.S., in reference to anti-dumping measures that also limit Chinese imports on paper.
