Reports from Brazilian media say that the body of Tony Harris, the missing American basketball player, has been found in the city of Goiana.
At this time FBI agents say, while they have been in contact with Brazilian authorities, the body hasn't been scientifically confirmed to be that of Harris.
Brazilian detectives say that the body found, was hanging from a tree with an electric wired around its neck.
The assumption it's Harris, was made from his description, along with the clothes he wore when he went missing.
One report cites a Brazilian news outlet, Correio Web, saying that Harris' family members have come to the city and identified the body.
Harris had disappeared about two weeks ago, after taking an offer to play in the country. After Harris arrived in Brazil, his pregnant wife received a call from him saying he feared for his life.
Harris played college basketball at Washington State University.
