You have to hand it to them, celebrity agents are getting smarter. They're getting their clients away from getting charged with DUI in a car, to now DUI with a scooter.
Mickey Rourke, who has carefully branded himself as a bad boy, was arrested for driving a scooter while under the influence. I'm not kidding!
Rourke was booked in the Miami-Dade County Jail, and was being held on a $1,000 bond, according to jail spokeswoman Janelle Hall.
Agents are evidently changing their strategies on getting their clients publicity, as they're getting more careful on how they send them out into public after they've been drinking.
To illustrate the fact, Shia LaBeouf was recently arrested at a Walgreens store after refusing to leave. Because he wasn't driving, he didn't have to be administered a sobriety test. He was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing.
I have to admit this is hilarious, when you consider Rourke's reputation and brand, and him being arrest for DUI on a scooter.
Police said Rourke failed both a field-sobriety and alcohol breath test.
From now on you can count on odd situations of celbrities being arrested for DUI. It looks like they're starting to go about it in a legally "safe" way now.
It should be fun to see what their agents cook up to differentiate their DUIs.
