The Food Network has confirmed that Chef Emeril Lagasse, and his "Emeril Live" show will be dropped by the network. At this time his other show "The Essence of Emeril" is reportedly still on the schedule. The last Emeril Live episode will be taped on December 11.
Emeril Live is the show with the live audience and studio band.
While everyone is talking nice now and Emeril is mentioning making specials for the Food Network, other reports have said that talks over Emeril's contract, which is up next year, have broken down.
Put that together with Mario Batali and the unsurety related to his status with the network, and we may be seeing some cost cutting, along with inability or unwillingness to meet the demands of the popular chefs.
I will miss his lessons and knowing that at any time I could find a really good recipe for anything!!!
