In a tragic event, Casey Calvert of the indie music group Hawthorne Heights, was found dead on their tour bus early Saturday morning.

The band was an up-and-coming act whose music had several singles showcased on VH1 and MTV. Since forming the band in 2001, they group had released two albums.

Police were called to the scene of the 9:30 Club in Northwest Washington about 2:20 p.m. on Saturday morning, where Calvert was found unconscious. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the band web site they commented on Casey's death saying, "Just last night he was joking around with everyone before he went to bed. We can say with absolute certainty that he was not doing anything illegal ... We don't want his memory to be tainted in the least."

Calvert is survived by his Wife, mother and father.
