After the Robert Redford and Tom Cruise film "Lions for Lambs" tanked at the box office last weekend, Hollywood is getting nervous about its obsession with bringing out a bunch of films during war that attack the U.S. and its soldiers.
Three more films are about to be released that are almost sure to bomb. We already know the pathetic Brian DePalma offering of "Redacted" is not only going to fail horribly commercially, but has put DePalma and his financial backer Mark Cuban in a category that most people wouldn't want to be in.
Another film starring John Cusack will be released soon "Grace is Gone," which was shown as the Sundance Film Festival, for whatever that is worth.
There is also "Charlie Wilson's War," another film based in the Middle East, which has an outside chance of being somewhat successful, if for no other reason than getting a potential good start because of fan interest in Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts.

The problem Hollywood evidently doesn't get is people want to be entertained when they go to the movies, not have private agendas presented under the guise of a film. That's why this genre is rejected by the public.
I guess if people want to waste their money on this junk - as far as investors go - that's fine, but commercially they are pretty much doomed from the start.
