Warner Bros. has shuffled its movie operations and created a new division caled Warner Bros. Pictures Group, which will include all aspects of operations under one rood; including film production, marketing and distribution.
Leading the new unit will be President Jeff Robinov, who has been a senior vice president of film production for the company, along with executive vice president of film production.
Robinov has worked on films like "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," "Million Dollar Baby" and "The Departed."
"Having demonstrated his leadership instincts and skills, Jeff is now poised to lead the Pictures Group into exciting new territory as the film business undergoes creative and technological changes every day," said Alan Horn, Warner Bros. president and chief operating officer.
Horn will still give approval for what films will be produced, although he'll be focusing more on new business and markets.
Robinov's job will be to get the studio to run leaner and increase the level and quality of communication across the new unit.
