It seems Lily Allen is another person with too much time on her hands, as she's decided it's her job to tell Radiohead how to sell their music.
Allen said that the decision by Radiohead to allow their fans the choice on what to pay for their music hurts bands or artist coming up in the ranks.
She says, "It's arrogant for them to give their music away for free - they've got millions of pounds. It sends a weird message to younger bands who haven't done as well.
"You don't choose how to pay for eggs. Why should it be different for music?"
This is about as stupid a statement as I've heard. First of all, who is Lily Allen to tell someone else how to sell their music? That's really the arrogancy involved here; she's the one that is making assertions that are none of her business.
Second, how does it become the responsibility of Radiohead to make other bands or artists successful? That's like us being responsible to raise someone else's kid. Sorry, not our responsibility.
This is especially bizarre by Allen because, contrary to what she says, Radiohead has actually shown the way ahead for up-and-coming artists and bands who may not be able to break into the business any other way.
Here's what you need to do Lily: do the same as Radiohead, and help other people see the way ahead.
