Doctors had to induce labor on Nancy Grace as she developed pulmonary edema - fluid on the lungs - which could have caused health problems for her and the children if the babies weren't delivered.
As a result, a girl, Lucy Elizabeth and a boy, John David were born on Sunday, according to a spokeswoman for CNN Janine Iamunno. She added that the Grace and the children are doing well. Grace is 48-years-old.
John David weighed in at 5 pounds, 1 ounce, while Lucy Elizabeth was just under 3 pounds, coming into the world at 2 pounds, 15 ounces.
Grace is the host of the legal talk show "Nancy Grace" on CNN Headline News. She used to be a prosecutor in the Fulton County District Attorney's office. Iamanno says Grace will return to the show as soon as she is able to.
