It seems some of the Hollywood actresses are becoming increasingly putting their main focus on their marriages and families, as a number of them have recently said their marriages and families come before anything else. It's actually refreshing to hear.
Nicole Kidman is the latest to say her marriage takes priority over her career. Kidman is married to country music star Keith Urban.
Kidman said to a group of reporters: "I just recently married so that's my priority. I love my work but at the same time I don't want to do it without having somebody else in my life to share that with." She and Urban married in 2006.
She seems to mean what she says, as she stood by Urban when he sought help in a rehab center last year, not long after they married. He credits Kidman with helping him make it through the problem. Urban has admitted to past addiction to cocaine.
Even with her new priorities, Kidman is keeping busy. She is now promoting her newest film,"Margot at the Wedding," while also working on the epic film "Australia," which also stars Hugh Jackman.
Concerning Australia, she said, "It's the film I dreamed of making when I was a little girl. I hope it lives up to my expectations because I wanted to make a film that's deeply romantic, that's got a magical quality to it, but is still a sweeping drama, sprinkled with some comedy so if we can pull that off I will be very very pleased."
Kidman has struggled with screen success since winning an Oscar for playing the role of Virginia Woolf in "The Hours."
In "Margot in the Morning," which will be released in the U.S. this Friday, she also plays a writer who causes all sorts of problems for her sister, who is getting married, and also is estranged from her in the film.

If her marriage comes first, why did she sign onto a new movie to be filmed in Germany beginning in January? She'll be there for at least 6 weeks. She hasn't even finished with Australia yet, which she's been filming since April. Kidman has claimed a lot of things in the past too but never follows them up her actions.
