"Trading Spaces" is going to start their show this year with new and old faces.
Returning to the show to give it a lift is popular Paige Davis, who hosted the show until 2005. TLC decided at that time to air the series without a host.
Along with hosting "Trading Spaces," Davis has also been in the Broadway musicals "Chicago" and "Beauty and the Beast."
Another move is the series is now being produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions, taking over production from Banyan Productions. A. Smith & Co. produces "Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares" and "Hell's Kitchen" for Fox (NWS-A).
Trading Places shows neighbors who take a room in each others' homes and redecorate them.
This season will be filmed totally in high-definition. The show is set to relaunch in January 2008.
Maybe this time around they won't run the shows daily in reruns, like they did before.
With the show at one time being so popular it was outperforming some primetime shows - getting up to 9 million viewers, it'll be interesting to see if the changes will help bring it back to the past success it enjoyed.
