The personal assistant of punk rock pioneer and real estate agent multimillionaire Linda Stein, was arrested for the murder of Stein Friday.
Natavia Lowery was arrested for brutally beating Stein to death with a yoga stick. Stein, 62, was smashed in the head and neck, and was found in a pool of blood in her apartment.
After a stint in the music business, where she gained fame for introducing the Ramones to England, Stein entered the Real Estate business and became known as the "Realtor to the Stars."
Between her two careers, Stein had a large number of celebrity clientele, including Elton John (who was her daughter's godfather), Angelina Jolie, Madonna, Sting, and Steven Spielberg.
Some that attended her funeral were Clive Davis, Paul Shaffer (David Letterman band leader) and Whoopi Goldberg.
Lowery was charged with second-degree murder in the brutal slaying, after she confessed to the crime. She also took Stein's credit card and withdrew $800 against it after murdering her. Lowery is being held without bail.
Stein used to be married to Seymour Stein, who was formerly the president of Sire Records.
