The two-hour special Battlestar Galactica fans have been waiting for is finally upon us, as Saturday night at 9 p.m. ET on the Sci Fi channel, Battlestar Galactica: Razor will be aired in a two-hour special.
What will be especially rewarding is the return of some of the former characters that had been killed off, with Michelle Forbes returning to reprise her role as the commander of the "Pegasus: Helena Cain. Although a new character, Major Kendra Shaw, will be in command in the "present" of the show, with flashbacks to Cain when she was in charge.
Another character returning is Graham Beckel, who took over for Cain after she was murdered, but who was also murdered not too long after he took over.
Interestingly, the Helena cain character was missed even while being planned to be killed off. Executive producer Ron Moore said concerning the character: "Cain was ripe with possibilities and Michelle was sensational. In the middle of her last episode, we were going, 'Wow. It's too bad we're killing her off. Are we crazy?' But we'd boxed ourselves into a corner."
The fourth season of Battlestar Galactica, which will be the series' last, is scheduled to launch in April.
Meanwhile, Saturday night we can get a two-hour fix, while eagerly anticipating next years' launch.
