Why someone like Roman Polanski should be allowed to work on any film project is beyond me. Still, some people continue to allow him to get involved with their projects, even though he has been running from sex charges in the United States for years.
Unfortunately, Random House Group is saying nothing about the collaboration between writer Robert Harris, who penned "The Ghost," and Polanski, who are working together on a screenplay.
Polanski has been hiding out from the United States and Britain, not entering the countries in fear of being extradited or arrested. He was charged with child-sex crimes in the U.S. back in 1978.
Why Random House Group and Robert Harris would even think of letting this type of person work with them is extraordinary.
There are a huge number of decent directors that could have been enlisted for the project.
No Polanski, those of us who know what you did aren't going to let it be forgotten.
