
CBS (CBS-A) handily won the primetime Sunday night race, as they won the key 18-49 demo, along with overall viewership.
The ongoing pursuit by the New England Patriots to become the second football team in league history to go through a season undefeated, led the way for CBS, as the game finished with an average of 24 million viewers watching, and an 8.1 rating/22 share in the 18-49 demo during the 7 p.m to 7:30 p.m. time period.
CBS also led in the 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. period, with "60 Minutes getting a 15.9 rating/4.3/11 share.
Second place for 7:00 to 8:00 was "America's Funniest Home Video," drawing a 9.1 rating, 2.6/7 share for ABC (DIS).
"Sunday Night Football" for NBC (GE) drew about 11.2 million and 4.4/10.
Overall figures for Sunday night were, CBS (13.9 million, 4.1/10) led over ABC (11.7 million, 3.3/8); NBC (9.9 million, 3.8/9); Fox (NWS-A) (6.2 million, 2.9/7).
