Only two weeks after pleading no contest to charges of cocaine possession and battery, Jessica Sierra continues her self destructive behavior as she's in jail early Saturday after being charged with resisting arrest, felony battery, possession of cocaine and disorderly intoxification. Sierra was a former top-ten finisher on American Idol in 2005.
Her sentence for her former case was 12 months probation and random drug testing. Taking into account she hit a person in the head with a bottle in a bar in the original charges, she is sure to get a stiffer sentence from her behavior so soon after her sentencing. The victim of being hit with the bottle has also filed a civil lawsuit against Sierra.
This time she refused to leave the Full Moon Saloon in Ybor City. After police arrived, they found her causing a disturbance and asked her to leave. She refused and continued to be a problem. After resisting officers, yelling at people walking by and attempting to leave the scene, she was arrested and jailed.
Word is she's still in jail at the time of this writing with no bond being posted, since she's on probation.
