When you're hot you're hot, and Rachael Ray is enjoying her time in the limelight, as she's signed a new deal with the Food Network called "Rachael's Vacation."
Ray has been out promoting her new book "Just in Time," and said concerning her heavy work load, "The more work I can do, the happier I am.
"I love to travel, I love to cook, I love to chat. I grew up with people who worked 100 hours a week. I love life."
She must love her job and career choice as well, as along with her television appearances and shootings, she also has a magazine, non-profit organization called "Yum-o and writes books, among other projects related to cooking.
For her new show, the deal is for a two-year period, and it will premiere January 12 on the Food Network. It will follow Rachael as she travels around the world exploring foods, lifestyles and cities. It sounds like "30 Minute Meals" without the meals.
One area Ray has cut back on is her "30 Minute Meals," where she'll have 20 less shows on the schedule this year.
Her production schedule is staggered to help ease the burden, and the travel shows will be shot when possible. She will continue to perform on holiday specials, even with the new duties added.
