Will Arnett has landed the role of the voice of Kitt in the upcoming release of the film version of Knight Rider. Reportedly he and Rainn Wilson (The Office) were the main contenders for the spot.
This won't be Arnett's first role as a voice in a film as he was the voice of Duncan Schiesst in "Freak Show," and of course also had the voice role for Horst, in Ratatouille. He currently has a role in Horton Hears a Who! which is in post-production at this time.
David Hasselhoff, who starred in the TV series, will have a cameo role in the film. Will Daniels, who starred in The Graduate, and who was last seen in Blades of Glory as Commissioner Ebbers, was the voice of Kitt in the television series.
Knight Rider is in pre-production at this time, and is due to be released in 2008.
