The Disney Channel has learned how to tune into their demographic's interests, as eleven out of the last twelve original movies they made have drawn over five million viewers in its premiere airing.
The latest was Friday's "Minutemen," a time-travel tale that attracted 6.5 million viewers.
Breaking it down, 2.9 million children from 6 to 11 tuned in, while another 2.6 million from the ages 9 to 14 watched the show.
The overall viewership was about 3 million ahead of the nearest cable competitor during the same time period, Law and Order: SVU.
Coming in second for the evening was an original episode of Monk, which drew 5.3 million viewers in the 9 p.m. slot.
