
A lot of people won't know who Joyce Carlson is, but her work was seen by millions every year that visited Disney's, "It's A Small World."
Carlson was one of those who worked on the original miniature prototype of "It's a Small World" for the 1964 World's Fair in New York. She was also one of those that worked on it being brought to the ensuing locations in Paris, Hong Kong, California, Florida and Tokyo.
She started with Disney as a deliverer of brushes and paints to the animators, to eventually becoming one herself. She had worked for Disney for 56 years.
Carlson died from a long battle with cancer. She was 84. She is survived by a sister and several nephews and nieces.
