With the Sargeant from the Glendale Police Department saying Kiefer Sutherland was a "model prisoner," Sutherland left jail early this morning after serving his 48-day sentence for drunken driving. He was released sometime around 1 p.m. on Monday.
"As I understand it, he was a model prisoner; didn't cause any problems," said Sgt. Harley Wing.
While he was behind bars, Sutherland worked mostly in the laundry area and picked up trash.
Sutherland has been arrested several times for alchohol related offenses, and will have to continue his sentencing by being on probation for five years, and also completing an alchohol program for 18 months. He will have to attend weekly therapy sessions for 6 months as well.
The Fox drama "24," which Sutherland stars in, is on hiatus until the writers' strike is over.
