Matthew McConaughey announced that he and girlfriend Camila Alves are expecting a baby. She is three months along in the pregnancy and doing well, he added.
On his web site, cited by Mercury News, he announced: "Got some blessed news... a celebration of life and bounty... a newborn concieved (sic)... yes, my girlfriend Camila and I made a baby together.
"We are stoked and wowed by this miracle of creation and this gift from God, and so excited for the adventure that will come in raising this child, being a mother and a father."
Alves is a beautiful Brazilian model, and McConaughey, along with his acting credits, was named the "sexiest man alive" in 2005 by People magazine.
McConaughhey's latest film "Fools Gold," will be released in February, with several more either in post or pre-production.
