Marvel released (NYSE:MVL) a new picture of Iron Man from the upcoming movie of the same name, which stars Robert Downey Jr. in the lead role as Tony Stark, the man behind the mask.
For those who don't no anything about Iron Man or didn't read comic books when you were younger, the story is about a billionaire industrialist who is kidnapped and pressured to build weapons for the enemy, but turns the tables and instead develops a extraordinary suit of armor, as seen below in the photo.
Tony Stark then escapes and returns to the United States.
From there he finds out about a plan that could have huge consequences for the world, and he puts on the armor and starts to do battle.
Oh, sorry, you don't have to go see the movie now. Forgive me Marvel.
Actually, if the film is anything close to the storyline throughout the years at Marvel, the character of Tony Stark is one of those that should be an actor's dream, as he had many layers and human struggles, along with his heroics. Should be a fun movie to see.
Also starring with Downey in the film will be Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges. Jon Favreau is directing the project.
Iron Man is scheduled for release on May 2.
