
The All-Star game for the National Hockey League on Versus increased its household rating by 14 percent over the game last year, as it received a household rating of 0.8. The game also drew an overall audience of 796,717, which was 18 percent over last year's contest, which attracted 672,948 viewers.
Viewership by males increased dramatically over last year, as in the 18-34 demo, it grew by 46 percent, reaching 155,333, in contrast to 106,667 last year. In the 18-49 male demo, it grew to 319,186, against 223,179 in the 2007 contest.
For the season, Versus has been averaging 264,774 viewers per NHL game aired this year. The network reaches 74 million homes.
In the game, the East edged the West 8-7. Eric Staal, who led the East with two goals, was named the Most Valuable Player.
